My toes are all spotty

As are my nails

I still try to curl my hair

In spite of many fails

My legs are all wiggly

My tummy is round

My face now has wrinkles

Body parts start to fall down

When I look at me

I could see all these flaws

Obsessing about culture

And fashion and its laws

But I am free

Like the wildflower

That feels the wind

And knows its power

I know I am beautiful

No matter how bad I may feel

My body created for purpose

Every part very real

I have eyes that alight

When seeing someone I love

And a heart that is softened

For the things from above

I see feet with chipped polish

That take me along

To new adventures

And back home where I belong

I see arms and legs

That work hard everyday

Rejoicing to serve the Lord

In their own way

I choose to not see flaws anymore

Instead I see lasting effects of grace,

And relationships filled with love and peace

Held in eternity’s embrace
