Have you ever had a Bible verse that you read at the start of the day, and as your day kept going, the words became more powerful and dear to your heart?

Today, Jeremiah 33:3 was that for me. It says,

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

What I love best about this verse is that it is 100% focused on who God is and what he does!

First, God says, “Call to me.” God wants to hear from us! His love and faithfulness aren’t dependent on the words we use or how often we pray. He promises to listen to anyone who calls on his name, no matter who they are or what they are going through.

Second, God says, “I will answer you.” Those four simple words hold a profound truth: The God of the universe will answer you! There is no fine print or exceptions. When he answers, it doesn’t matter what we ask for or when we ask for it; he is capable of providing all we need.

In this verse, God also says he will “show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Y’all, we don’t serve a small God! No, we serve an exceedingly strong God who does significant, extraordinary things that often defy obstacles, skepticism, and hurt. We also do not know what he has planned, but that is a beautiful thing! We have no reason to fear the future when God is our past, present, and future!

No matter who we are, God wants us to call on him!

No matter what we say, God will answer us!

No matter what we have done, God will show us his might and holiness.

And no matter how we feel, God has plans for us!

Today’s verse has given me a sweet time of renewal and fellowship with our Lord and Savior, and I hope it does the same for you!
