Hey, y’all – I am Andrea! Thanks for visiting my site. I hope you will stay a while. Those who know me can attest that I am never sure what exactly I am going to say; sometimes it is funny, sometimes it is profound, sometimes it’s just plain gibberish – either way – I hope you stay, read a little, and enjoy! Oh, and share my blog with others! Here’s a little about me…
If it’s possible to have your heart in multiple locations, that would be my heart – loving both Colorado and South Carolina. I lived and grew up in both states in more ways than one. I love both states because of the unique beauty each has and the memories attached to them, but mainly because of the people who hold such strong ties to my heart. It wasn’t until I met and married my husband that I learned that wherever he is, that is where my heart will be, which is in Atlanta!
Being married to him means life is better, fuller, and has more joy and love than I ever knew I wanted or needed. I’m learning that when you open your heart to love and choose to show it to others, whether it be to friends, family, or a spouse – there is no limit to how far or wide your love can spread and grow.
Like many, I have been fortunate to have a full life of successes and failures, joys and pains, and love and loss. When I was younger, especially when things got tough, I tried things on my own, which failed….uh, miserably. It was only until I was so tired and exhausted living in survival mode that I finally pleaded with God to take me back.
After that moment of complete fatigue and surrender, I began my personal journey to understand and grasp the forgiveness and grace that come from God. I strive to live my life as one who is redeemed through the saving knowledge of Christ, not one who doesn’t sin or mess up, but as someone who desires to turn to God more than live in my sinful nature.
I want this blog to be about life for everyone. I don’t want people who saw the word ‘God’ to automatically close the tab because I love God. I love all people and have found that when I stop and listen to others, I realize we all have things in common, regardless of our differences.
